Default Whats a soarer trans worth now?

I sold my supra a week ago and decided that I want to go with a gs300 rather than the SC, so I have a full soarer MT swap here I don't really need.

I think we are going to keep the motor and throw it into a mk3 with some USDM 2jz twins we just picked up.

But, we are selling the trans. I've posted pictures before on the forum, its a low mileage Soarer trans from an early model JZZ30. It is an internal shifter. Has the swan neck shifter (more than the Supra Mk3), and the internal parts that Blizzy was able to get ahold of from Japan, but these parts have recently become unavailable from toyota.

So whats it worth? Shifter is TIGHT. goes into each gear very firmly and smoothly, you can tell this thing is low miles. The motor is in great condition too, we actually sold the twins off the car to a friend who turned around and made 320rwhp with them stock.

even with how hard it is to find this trans? 100% straight drop into an SC300. except we have no drive shaft with it.

Its worth about 1200 to 1400 .A mk3 1j r154 is 1000 dollars .The soarer r154 is a rare item so it holds value.

I would say 900 on low end and 1300 on high end.

I think that this is correct.

I suspect 97-SC300 said $600 in an effort to convince you into selling it to him at that price.

Even though the alternatives to the Soarer R154 are becoming more well known, the real thing still brings a nice price, with the bidding normally starting above a grand.
