Default clutch and tranny issues

I started to do my clutch install today[competition stage 4] and ive got everything out except the two top bolts on the tranny and the bottom bracket under it that im doing tomorrow morning, while under their, i got a few drips of oil in my eye and noticed that it was dripping from the tranny right where it bolts to the motor, now im concerned that my clutch was fine all a long and it was just oil leaking from the rear main on to the clutch, either that or the transmission seal? anyways i just wanted to know how hard it is going to be to replace the rear main seal or tranny seal and how much parts would cost thanks in advance

The main seal should be a breeze if since you have most of the stuff out. The top bolts are easy to remove with a 3-4 foot extension. Once you have the tranny, clutch, and flywheel removed them you can easily access the rear main seal.

You don't need to remove the pan to do the rear main, and while you have it all apart it's a good idea to do it even if it's not the problem if you're getting up there in miles.
