Default Took a trip and got back with a burnt clutch

I took a 500 mile round trip this weekend to a casino. The car great, just ran perfect there and almost all the way home. I dropped off my friend and was happy I didn't have to drive like a grandma. I should have kept on driving like a grandma because I merged onto the freeway I slipped in 1st and 2nd. Drove for about 5 miles without and issue and I smelt something burning. (Brakes smell) I dropped into 4th to pass some guy and my rpms jumped from 3k rpms up 5k rpms and I just knew the clutch was gone. So now my car is in the shop to get painted and it was painful driving it to the guy who is doing the work. So once I get the clutch he is going to give me the chance to swap the clutch out there.

clutch job in our cars are not a big deal. i would do a clutch in a RWD car over a FWD car any day

let us know how it goes and good luck with your car.
