Exhaust Question ?? Apexi custom or Blitz Nur Spec ? Yes I searched...
UPDATE... Should I go with Blitz Nur Spec dual and custom piping or the Apexi N1 Mufflers with custom piping ?
OK, so I searched around and found some answers but there seems to be an extreme variance in peoples opinions (as expected).
Here is my question:
I own a shop, so price is not a huge factor although I would still like to keep it on a budget. I love the JIC exhaust but don't want to spend that much on the system.
I have had the Blitz Nur Spec on my supra and loved it.
These are what I am seeing that everyone is suggesting consistently:
Magnaflow canistors
Blitz Nur Spec
Apexi N1 Canistors
All of these with custom piping...
I have a project going with a '92 SC300 5-spd with 1JZ single T61 setup.
I will be getting custom piping done from the downpipe back. Which setup do you think I should go with for the exhaust and why ? Should I use resonators or not ? I need specifics to your reasons please ?? Sound, function, performance... etc.
This will be a daily driven car so I need it to not be too loud.
Suggestions please ?

everyone is going to have different opinions about the same products and different products...
best thing to do is what you want, and what you can afford to spend, or want to spend..
I'm a cheap *** sometimes, and opted for some ehay knock-offs with 3'' mandrel pipes from the cat back dual out...sounds great to me, looks really good, but some people wont like cause I went cheap on the mufflers...
its all up to you unless you want a headache about people arguing about what is better...

I've had two custom exhausts both with an eye towards an OEM look (no cats or resonators); so, if you're not into oval style mufflers with double offsets, then please disregard my post. Also keep in mind, that double offset mufflers provide better fitment of piping around the rear sway bar.
The one thing I learned is that a 3" DP/MP with dual 2.25" pipes/mufflers will be exhaust limited in terms of performance. All I could get with this setup was about 690 hp even though I ran two different turbos (71GTQ and 74GTS). It didn't matter which turbo I ran; exhaust back pressure prevented more flow.
I recently upgraded to a 4" DP/MP and dual 3" pipes/mufflers, and it made all the difference. The sound is louder but not objectionable, IMO. However, that's the cost of performance. Details can be found in the two posts below.
