my brothers 92 sc300's spark plugs are all covered in oil! all six of them.
im stuck? you think all the valve stem seals are possibly worn out? thanks

Do you mean replace the valve cover gaskets? I am going to replace those (they just came in yesterday!).

My question is are there rubber spark plug seals/grommet/gasket things?

The last time I had the covers off I swear I saw some; however the guys at Pembroke Pines and Sewell said there is no such part....

Nope there are no seals/gaskets or anything like that for the spark plug. At least not on mine...

Sounds like its your valve cover gaskets tho.

So I am new to the lexus community. So i bought a 94 lexus sc300 with the non vvti motor. So i had to replace the alternator i noticed a oil leak. So i got it home and noticed that new water pump had oil just sitting in the creases of the pump. So automatically i assumed it was the cam seals well i know the timing belt and pump where changed before i bought it so i went on craigslist found a mechanic he told me the seals are not leaking he tried to tell me the crank seal is but there is no oil leaking from the bottom of the motor. He also said the bracket behind the cam pulleys needs a new gasket. So my big thing is oil is leaking on the alternator i need help asap im thinking about just changing the valve cover gasket

Sounds like it's the distributor o-ring. That's a common problem. Swap that out.

Leaky valve covers are pretty obvious - look for oil leaking down from them into the spark plug valley or alongside the head. Make sure to check the fronts behind the cam gear cover

Cam seals, front main seal - look for oil behind the cam gear cover. Cam seals leak from behind the gears and drip down the head. You'll see it, or be able to feel it. A timing belt that's got oil on it (or the edges) is from a leaky front main seal. Another way to check for this is to get under the car, remove the splash shield and inspect the bottom of the lower timing cover directly behind the crank pulley.

if it's on the alternator, should be distributor o ring

So I degreased the motor and it's not leaking from the bottom I looked by the harmonic balancer no oil I have a crap load of oil caked behind the distributor and by the tensioner pulley I will post pics

As was mentioned earlier, check your distributor o-ring. You will be able to tell if the oil is coming from the distributor by looking at the shield circled in red in the attached picture.
