It's late, and I'm tired. But it was all worth the hard work.

We held our yearly DFW MKIV meet. I'm good friends with the MKIV community in Dallas, and they make me feel very welcome to the event.

841 rwhp, 669 ft/lbs torque at 32 psi - all turbo, no nitrous, built NA-T, my tuning.

Finally!... :)

I'll fill in the details later after the road course event tomorrow.

Impressive to say the least. Congrats man.

Thanks for all the kind words... It's been a fun and exhausting weekend. After the dyno session Saturday afternoon, we went to the local lake hotspot and chowed out into the evening followed by a photoshoot in downtown Dallas till 1 in the morning.

I just got home from the 3rd leg of our local meet - road racing at Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, TX. I took the Ketchup Car out for 3 sessions before the brakes faded.

If you've never road raced, you should give it a try; it's a blast. (And this is from a dedicated drag racing fan!) Of course, the boost was turned down, and the T74 is a bit laggy for road racing. My instructor drove an '05 M3 and took me around the "right way" ;), but I still did pretty well, none-the-less. Fortunately, 560 hp makes up for a lot of bad driving. :p However, nobody passed me during all my sessions. (Although, I wish the damn Vetts would get over themselves and let a faster car by!)

We do have vids and pictures from the meet. I'll get the DFW members to post them up and host the vids somewhere. I know the 841 pull is on video as well as a couple of pulls in the 700s.

FWIW, the "goal" was to beat the 800 mark. I had all the components to do it; however, I didn't expect things to go so well once all the bugs were worked out. I forget the progression of pulls, but I blew right through 700 with consecutive pulls of about 740 and 780. Then, the car did an 828 followed by the 841. This was all accomplished with no more than 16 degrees of timing. There was no time to really "tune" the car because the 700s and 800s were uncharted territory for me. So, it was just a matter of seeing what the motor had in it. Fortunately, it had plenty, and there is room for improvement. It never missed a beat the whole afternoon.
