Default So new transmisson is in....need help

OK so update, the new tranny is in and everything is bolted back up, Thank you to Scotturnot for saving my ***...

NOW I have heard that some cars ONLY take a specific type of tranny fluid?

So i look around and found this site
http://www.lexls.com/

Now i know my car isn't a LS400 but it has the same drive-train and engine so i figured it wouldn't hurt

It says to ONLY use Toyota Type IV ATF, part #00279-000T4 fluid
Is this valid? will it hurt anything if i use other types? if so why

The toyota dealership is closed today and i wanted to know if i could just roll out to walmart or something and pick some other stuff up ?

thanks
