Default Trans Swap

I have a 95 400 and i was wondering if theres a swap kit for an auto to man. I would love to keep the quad cam but it would have to be 5 or 6 speed. Any luck on the match up ?

The swap isnt very straightfoward and there are no kits in the US that help with this conversion. There are a few in the UK and Australia but they might get costly and take a looonnngg time to ship. The best way is to just gather your parts here in the US to save you some time and cash.

You'll need a lot of things including a trans (W58, R154, or the six-speed V160), custom bellhousing or adaptor plate, flywheel modifications (custom button or machined ones), clutch, trans accessories like slave cylinder, clutch pedal, clutch lines...the list goes on for a bit. Check out Blizzy's and ScottURnot's threads on their swaps. They will probably chime in here too.

Here are some helpful links to get you started in the right direction

hope this helps

That TTC performance adaptor plate can accept the Supra 6-speed. However, if you look at Scott's thread he had to modify it because it interfered with the starter. It require a notch at the top of the plate for the starter to clear.
