Default Sensor Glitch???

Anyways I was driving home from downtown and I notice the oil light came on. So I pulled over, popped my hood and truck got a rag and flashlight and checked my oil. The oil level was just fine. SO I started the car again, it didn't come on again?

Does the oil light mean something else, besides low oil level?
Should I take the car in to get looked at. There is also some grease build up on the bottom cover under the but I don't know if that has to do with anything

Do the SC's have two warnings for oil? If anything it may be low oil pressure... have it checked out.

damn sorry for posting it in the section. But yeah grease build up is the bottom plastic cover under the motor. Specifilly of the passenger side. I'm gonna take it off after I off work today.

But yeah how do you check oil pressure?

The light didn't turn on again today. But I took off the plastic under cover anyways to trace the leak. It turns out the leak is coming from my power steering pump. The fluid was low, so maybe that trigged the oil light to come on.

Anyways the power steering fluid looks dark amber. It says use Dextron Type ATF on the cap, but isn't that red???

Iv had the same light come on, Your talking about the light in the Tach? Not the light in the lower right hand side. I looked it up and there was actually a TSB released for this problem, and they say the fix is to add an extra .2 quarts of oil. The oil pan capacity was 5.0, but the TSB says to be sure and add 5.2 quarts of oil. You just have to stay a little closer to the full line rather then in the OK area of the dip stick.
