Default Knocking 2jz-Ge....Any suggestions?

So I picked up my 95 5spd Sc300.

I previously thought the knocking was coming from below. I listened to the car yesterday and determined the knocking is coming from up top. It idles perfectly, no smoke. You can't hear any knocking at all unless its under load. You can even rev to like 2500-3000 and as long as you hold it you can't hear the knock.

To give you a little background on the car...the clutch is shot. It also sat for about 7-8 months. I don't know to much about these cars seeing how I'm coming from DSM's. But I'm thinking it's a possibility he over revved it trying to drive it with a slipping clutch or something of that sort.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try to do to save this motor. I want to put the clutch in a drive it with some fuel additives in case it was just bad gas or carbon. Right now, I'm just lost.

Help please...

it could be a lot of things, possible throwout bearing, also it could just be that the valves need to be ajusted, well at least its not a rod knock, worst case scenario, you could get your head redone
