When you get the car smogged, do the places not know the engine has been changed and just smog it as is. Or do u get by the smog test with some connections.

As far a i know the 1jz-gte is not legal in ca.

I am about to do the same swap and I have a ton of questions. I live in the area is there any way I could get your number. I know during the swap I will have some questions and I would feel a lot more comfortable if i had someone to talk to.

anyway for now here are a couple of ?s

did you have to mod the trans tunnel?
what parts off the clip did you actually use?
were you able to sell a lot of parts off the clip?
I read that you extended all the wires after the plug, did you also extend the knock sensor, or did you use the sc300 wire?
also were there any wires you did not need to extend?

I am curious about your R154 chattering issue. Did you ever get that fixed? I noticed you replaced several parts, was there a single part that fixed the issue? My car will chatter at idle unless I push in the clutch. It chatters when I drive and gets louder as I go. Fourth gear it goes away. I have a 6puck clutch in my R154. Any advice?
