3.27

The 98-00 SC400 used the same 5AT that ran in the GS400. Both used a 3.7 rear end that is compatible with the same LSD units as the 92-97 SC rear ends.

I am presonally putting a TRD LSD onto a 98-00 SC400 rear end with a 3.27 ratio for the 5MT project I have in the works.

Great info. Thanks Scott and Blizzy. As you guys know I am going for the TH400 and it only has 3 gears. The third gear is 1.0 so it is not freeway or gas friendly. Getting a lower ratio will help the RPM.

The 3.27 rear end from the 98-00 SC400 is 100% identical to the GS400 rear end. It is the lowest ratioed rear end you will find short of a 6MT Supra rear end that will require swapping out the companion flange and the axles.

If you are in need of one, Gazi (Member name: Aliga) sells them for $300 shipped...which is not a bad deal for something that is in relatively limited supply.
