Default Cap and Rotor

Recently I decided my car needed a tune up

About time....it had the original cap, rotor and plug wires. I changed the cap and rotor with a NAPA rotor and CarQuest cap.

Now, I have never had a bad part come through the CQ here in town.

But it almost seems like I'm getting worse milage. I need to change the plugs wires and valve cover gasket.

Could a new cap make the MPG go down?

Also, are there little grommets in the plug holes? I'm ordering my VCG soon

Its unlikely that CQ or NAPA replacements exceeded Lexus/Toyota oem parts, so for these eom is likely better and you'd not be having the question. Maybe you saved $50

To check this I'd put the old one back on and get your answer.

make sure you pushed all the plug wires on all the way. if that doesn't fix it just go get an oem cap and rotor, they are cheap.
