Default Blow off valve BOV mounted pic request

If anyone has some pictures of their BOV I would appreciate if you could post them.

I've got a Greddy Type-RS bov. I would like to see some different pictures to see how / where you all are mounting your BOV's

thanks a lot. Just getting some ideas.

This is the only picture that shows mine. Typical bumper opening location that I'm guessing you'll see a lot of in this thread.

you can mount it directly on the side of your intercooler, this sounds better because it has a clear path to the outside, or something that i think is cool is ether on the intake manifold or on the throttle body is very unique!

I think that placing it closer to the throttle body has more to do with function than looks. Someone correct me if im wrong, but compressor surge starts when the throttle plate closes and the incoming air from the turbo hits the throttle plate. Placing the BOV closer to the throttle body increases the BOV's effectiveness and provides a better reaction time for the BOV. I think that someone with a bit more experience on this could elaborate on this a little more, don't really have a ton of experience when it comes to turbos.

There's also debate on whether it should go on the hot or cold side piping. I talked to DaveH (for those who don't know who that is, the pioneer and main man in NA-T 2JZ's) and he said it doesn't seem to really matter that much.

I say BAH to blow off valve in general. Compressor surge alone isn't going to kill a turbo (by turbo I don't mean glued together chinese turbos either)

I guess BOVs are over-rated???

this is a prime example of why people should never take everything they read on a forum seriously.

I dare you to try a turbo w/o a BOV, then see what happens after a month or two of driving
