Default Pre 95 and 95+/Supra W58

I was just wondering is the 95+/Supra W58 a direct swap for the pre 95 w58. Thanks.

Also, are the pre 95 w58's the same as MKIII w58's?

I can't comment with certainty about the direct swap of a 95+ W58. I would assume that the swap would be very possible.

On the other hand, the MK3 W58 is different from the pre-95 W58 in that the shifter position is in a slightly more forward location. You would have the same issue trying to swap a MK3 W58 that you would trying to swap a MK3 R154 into an SC. The pre-95 W58 is a closer relative to the MK3 W58 in that both utilize a swan-neck shifter; however, the length of the shifter housing and shift linkage is longer in the SC transmission.

Blizzy, have you ever looked into using the shifter extension and control lever off a mk3 w58 or pre 95 sc w58 for the mk3 r154? It looks very similar to the one you got from the soarer r154?
