About 3 for me on a drain and refill. 2.9 to be exact. Just don't overfill. Put about 2-2.5 then drive it approx 10 miles. Come back run it through all of the gears. Put it in neutral with the engine running and check the hot level on the dipstick. That should be accurate. Don't recommend adding room temp ATF while it's hot in the car though. Wait till the car trans cools down.

When i did my Tranny Flush last week i ended up using Valvoline tranny fluid. It was ok with the type t-IV fluid we need. With a drain and refill i only got maybe 2.5 quarts of fluid. Put back right about the same amount and checked dipstick at hot temp. I will be redoing a drain and fill every few weeks to get all old fluid out because majority of fluid sits in torque converter anyways. Dont recommend doing a full flush of the 7-8 quarts at once.
