Default Smoked out my highway - my story of the day.

Well today i finally started up my sc since it was a nice day, i got my passenger side door panel back on, rigged up since the outside lock got unhooked and the interior handle wouldn't open the door. So i ended up cruising my local highway and going to my friends house still having the same throttle problems supposedly from the TPS, and it was still running too rich giving off a little bit of backfires(quiet) and some white smoke. drives fine, so i stopped and talked to my friend at his house and this whole time i totally forgot about the over heating issue it has that i haven't fixed since last time it was warm out. I ended up getting back onto my highway "highway 36, for anyone who lives in Wisconsin" and my friend was following, and for some odd reason it was lagging about getting out of third gear, and finally shifts out and at this time my friend comes up next to me and points behind me, and what do i see BAM a huge cloud of dark smoke, like when the titan motorsports supra does a crazy burn out. I suddenly reacted to looking at my gauges and seeing if anything sounded bad. Nothing seemed wrong, yet this whole time i forgot to check my temp gauge, so i threw my car into neutral and shut it off until i got to the turn i needed to and started it back up off of the stop lights and it was barley smoking, yet once i put it at higher rpm's it would smoke a little bit more. Once i got home i glided into my driveway with it off and checked over everything, well my gas was almost out so that little bit of highway driving ate all of my gas and you could hear the radiator cooling off like crazy and sure enough i get a phone call from one of my friends asking my my car was doing that, turns out i smoked out my friend in the audi tt that was following me and she never knew that he was behind me. haha seems fine now!i!i! could it have been because of the over heating??

yes id say its because of the over heating, you may have blown the head gasket so you may want to get a compression and leak down test.

Yup. I did that on the freeway, except I smoked some random vw black bug and I think it was in a cloud for a few seconds... he must've been scared not being able to see.

Its called neglect. Most likely you will be replacing/rebuilding that motor .I will not invest any money on a neglected overheating engine ,It will cost you more in the longrun .I would replace the engine if it was up to me.

Yes the Head gasket was blown. The car was overheated once by my cousin, then I blew the head gasket. And that's what I did, got a new motor.
