Default Leaking coolant tank in all sc400s?

Does anyone know if the leaking coolant tank problem is typically present in all sc4 models, or just the earlier ones?

I'm looking for a new coolant tank (for obvious reasons), and was wondering if there was a certain year I need to avoid. Thanks.

the first gen ones leak from the stupid sensor, I think they fixed this in the second version. (they just deleted the sensor entirely)

cheers

Default Same problem...

I'm having the same issue with my 92 SC400... coolant leaking from the sensor.

Not sure if there's a way of fixing it as I really haven't put much effort into it. I opted to get a used one in the meantime. Has anyone been able to find a way to repair the leaky sensor?

replace the radiator all together... Mine is leaking from the sensor, and the seams, which is pretty common in all older cars for the plastic radiator falling apart. So Koyo radiator for the supra is going in

Oh yeah I see. Mine started leaking and it was from the rubber line on the side of the tank.

From what I'm told, they removed the sensor for 95-96 models. I wonder if they added it back in after 96...
