Exclamation Voltage woes, issues with battery

hey whats up CL members i was driving my car saturday morning about 430 5 ish i have a sc400 my power went bazurk and started buggin out the dash board lights went out and my navi cutoff and i noticed i had no headlights or power so i pulled over , figured the belt poped or my alternator went but i pulled over on the belt pkwy (nyc) and popped the hood and relize the ground terminal on the battery was red hot so i just held the ground wires and broke it off the battery lug to prevent any hardcore damage to my baby when i touched the ground back to the battery i saw fireworks (alot of sparks) and i had no power got stuck in the cold wid no ride home called a flat bed and went home i jacked up the car today and looked at it but didnt see no noticeable damage anyone have an idea what went wrong i believe the car is grounding out to power some where but i cant figure it out i checked my amps in the trunk but that wasnt it i really need help , to drive the car to school on tuesday plz plz CL help me out or any steps to find my problem and solve it asap i appreciate the help and the support from the fellow CL members thanks alot

It sounds like all of your grounding points are corroded. Search for grounding points. Did you get the battery tested yet? May be it as well.

sounds like a short on an unfused component.
