Default OBDI vs OBDII

Would it be easier to mod and tune a 92-95 sc400 vs the 96-97s because of the type of computer? Does it even matter? I have only worked with OBDI but am considering getting a 96-97 sc400 due to the increased base HP and added safety/amenities. Any and all input is appreciated. I am looking into going the supercharger route.

my best opinion you wanted to keep if stock get 98+ if you wanted to supercharge or turbo charge get a 92-95.

The older SC's have a stronger bottom ends and the forced induction will easily make more power from the VVTi. Plus OBDI is easier to work with

Thanks for the quick response. I have a 92 sc4 but am thinking about getting a slightly newer one for the newer features and added safety and a drastically different color. I am trying to decide between the 95-97 years. I know the different strengths of the internals but am wondering if it pays to start off with the higher hp platform. It will be built to be my DD for warmer weather. Thanks for the inputs and keep em coming.
