There are several ways to tell if they came from a Soarer. Seeing that you only have 2 post with 2 threads you started. I am thinking you might get flamed a little.

You should do your homework first and think about what you are getting yourself into because this ain't no Honda or Nissan.

Don't be afraid to hit that search button.

I agree with the post above. Have you ever considered going NA-T, cause you can get great power from the 2jz that comes in our car. It may not be more or less cost efficient, but from what i've read, it's a lot less headache.

OK, a soarer has a rear sump oil pan. The shifter is extended. Also it should come with a clutch fan. Those are first visual aspects of it. Other things you can pin-point is no traction control on the throttle body and you can look on the actual computer, some read soarer others will read JZZ30.

Hope that helps.

due your research on here and you'll find everything you need to know however the info is scattered on different threads.. its a pretty straight forward swap some of the task are hard to due (labor) but it is not hard in the technicality aspect.. Ill suggest replacing water pump timing belt and forward and rear seals as well as pilot bearing and engine mounts. please consider the advice or you'll be taking stuff apart the following week after completing the swap (trust me it happened to me). also inspect your clutch and crank pulley..
