Smile sc400 TAP transmission

So the trans went out on my 92 sc400. Im picking another one up from TAP today. Is there anything i should be weary of on this kind of used trans? and (other than a tc) what else can be done to the new trans to make it perform more agressively?

Any help is much appreciated

i have a original 78k miles trans, for 400 shipped.

i wouldnt trust a rebuild, who knows if it was rebuilt properly. a trans is not a simple thing to rebuild.
