Default Few Q's about R154 swap

I have several different question that I haven't found the answers to yet. (I have the automatic 2jzgte swap if that is relevant)

On a 92 sc300...

1. Will the stock R154 mount bolt up the existing holes, or does it need to be modified?

2. Can you use the bolts from the auto tranny bellhousing on the 1j bellhousing?

3. Can you use the R154 front halfshaft? Will it fit, or is it best to just go with a custom one piece?

I also need a link on how to jump the park switch and wire up the reverse lights. Thanks all.

1. yes if it is from a soarer, if not use the w58 mount and cross member.

2. no they are too long

3. im assuming your talking about the driveshaft, if so, then yes.

4. search "neutral switch bypass" for the neutral switch. also go to clubna-t.com and you will find more info. I think we have gotten alteast 10 threads on installing and parts matching for the r154 in the past week alone.

vipsoarer:

Thanks much for the help. So what bolts do you use for bellhousing when converting to R154 from auto?

Yes, I was talking about the front half of the driveshaft. I'm glad that it bolts right in no problems, simplifies alot.

2jzlex: No problem. I used the bolts off my w58 trans and they fit without a problem. So to answer the bolt question, use the bolts for the bellhousing off a manual trans supra or sc.

I will try to make a new post on all the parts to build the swap and include alternative methods to building the setup since I have managed to do it two different ways with success. I'll keep you all posted.
