Question Once and for all is the exhaust the same on a 97 and 98 SC400?

I have asked on this forum on two other occasions and can't seem to get a reply. I want to order the Rod Millen SC400 exhaust 92-97 model. I have a 98 model. Is the 98-00 model exhaust from the resonators back the exact same bends as a 97 model. The 97-00 models have the newer ground effects and front and rear bumper. Correct? I just know that the 98-00 supposedly rated at having a good deal more horsepower and torque. Could this be because the exhaust pipes are run differently. Who knows? I sure don't. Every search that I have done for this RMM exhaust has information only on PRE 98 cars. I confronted ROD MILLEN Motorsports with this and their fittment once again says 92-97? I asked why and they did not have an answer. I asked if I could assume since the rear bumpers on a 97-00 were the same--that it should bolt up with no problems and he said I am not sure and that it was only tested on the 92-97 models? Could someone out there please speak up and help me out with this. I give many thanks to anyone out there that responds to this thread.
Thanks

Checked out all the known good online sources for you and the exhaust is different for the 98-00.

Having said that, I then contacted my local Lexus parts dealer that I deal with a-lot who notified me (looking at the PDF images of both systems) that the part number of the September 1997+ exhaust IS infact different from the previous year SC400's. Upon closer examination of the PDF the exhaust manifold *appears* to be bigger for the 98+ models.

Simple answer to your basic questions, YES they're different.

they may be different a bit in design but they will still bolt up to either sc.

I wonder if I am the only one dumb enough to have ordered a RMM SC400 specific, axle back exhaust system for my 98-00 SC400. I hope it works without to much backyard, weekend warrior mechanics. According to Eric at Rod Millen Motorsports the exhaust inlet is made from 2.5" pipe. If anyone has ever tried this exhaust please speak up. I still have to assume that it will work with my application. Thanks guys for your input.
