engine temp question
In my car on a normal day the temperature gauge reads right in the middle of H and C...lately though the engine gets up to operating temperatures, then ends up back down about one dot above C.
Coolant temp sensor? to me that just seems really odd. |
Mine is doing the same thing

any other odd behavior? Just wondering if there are any effects of this or no. Mine is bucking but it threw a MAF code so I'm pretty sure that's where that problem is coming from.
|
Nah it'll go to half way, then move up a hair, then go back down. I check coolant in her all the time, I'm pretty sure I bled her right.
|
you know what I actually realized today...
mine is bucking bad due to a MAF problem or a misfire for whatever reason...well I think that reason is it's running SOOOO rich. andSOOOO rich means a not very hot engine. I could be way off but that's my guess on my car. |
First thing that comes to mind is the thermostat. A bad thermostat shouldn't cause bucking, but you should be getting some pretty crappy gas mileage.
Maybe a combo of bad thermostat/maf. |
