Default 92 SC400 trans prob

Ok the past few months my car has a a little issue. while driving down the road at a cruise speed of 45-50 after a couple seconds the car will jerk violently. it feels as if i hit the brakes but the enitre drivetrain makes a thud noise. it will do it once or twice then stop and be fine for about 20min. then it will do it again. it has no problem going into 2nd or low and if you mash the gas the car shifts perfect eveytime. even from a dead stop. i am baffeled by this problem and am looking for some help. The car has 157,6XX miles on it and i had the tranny flushed at 142,XXX. any help you be nice.

Thanks!

-Mike
