Default cel code 55 4 knock sensors?

Has anyone else had the cel bring up code 55. I know its the rear bank knock sensor but i am told that i need to purchase 4 by a few local parts stores. Is there specs on these sensors so i dont have to replace any good parts. Any light that can be shed on this topic is greatly appreachated.

Typically a visual inspection will yield some sort of a defect, if any. They dont tend to go out as often but when they get old, tend to get brittle and break but only if you're tinkering with it (ie replace parts in vicinity). Also most likely is the wire thats connected to it and not the actual knock sensor that has the problem. There are only two located beneath the intake mani on the lock.

Get a new mechanic, they only vary from 1 to 2.

Damn, $168 for a small sensor. I think I have one sitting on my spare GE, guess its a keeper.
