Power Steering Pump Question

Power Steering Pump Question
Mine doesn't work when my car just starts... drive for 10 min and turn off the engine and restart, it works...
This is funny but this is what it does.... it started since yesterday... I went to see mechanic and it works fine... my mechanic wants me to leave the car overnight with him so that he would know what the problem would be...
my other question would be : would 01-05 IS 300 power steering pump be a direct fit for my 92 SC300???
Thank you all in advance

Try the following in order:
1) Check your fluid level, fill if low
2) Clean the filters in the a) reservoir and b) selenoid on the rack and flush system
3) Replace power steering pump

check that valve that comes off the bottom that has 2 nipples, one that runs to your intake manifold and the other runs through block to your actual intake. sometimes they an crack easily but usually make you have full power steering all the time, at least mine was cracked. am i allowed to say nipples?

you should change ur fluids just in case, check for leaks because its a comon problem for sc300/400.
suck the fluids out with a pump and a straw, then replace it. i do this everytime i change my engine oil.
