A few months ago I cracked my old fan blade. Since then, the car SQUEALS like crazy on start up and on acceleration. I spray PB blaster in the pulley system and it takes the squeal away at IDLE only. On acceleration, it becomes louder and louder the higher in the RPM band.

I'm fairly certain it is the fan blade pulley. Could this have been caused by the broken blade? How hard is it to change this pulley and what is required to do so.

Also, I notice that my serp. belt wobbles from side to side ever so slightly, but noticeable. Could this be a symptom of the pulley?

Can you replace the pulley bearing?

Bump...still squeaks.

I'm going to try white lithium grease and see if that helps.

Check the crank pulley, the grooves on mine wore down somehow and the belt squeals and rubs. I'm getting it fixed Thursday.
