Running the wideband wire??

how did everyone run their wires from the 02 sensor into the interior of the cabin? I was planning on running it through the gromet in the fire wall on the drivers side but there is a huge connector and that is not going to fit through there.
any help would be great

I ran mine in on the passenger side where the wiring harness goes through the firewall to the ECU.

I have never had a problem fitting anything through the drivers side... But my SC I have right now, I also went through the passenger side where the ECU wiring is.

I ran mine up through the gromet on the pass side LH trans hump area. Right down by your feet and to the left a little. The wires for the factory 02 sensors are run through there as well. I did wrap my DP and wires to prevent any damage. Turned out nice... I'll take a pic if I remember.

I ran my wideband and other gauge wires through the passenger grommet/wiring harness area.
I removed the glovebox and fished a straight rod into the engine bay to pull the wires back through... by far the hardest wiring run through a firewall I have done...lexus packs way too much **** into the dash's. haha.

Well, drilling a hole through the firewall on the driver side will do the job. Use the short drill bit with the cone shape of various sizes on the same bit will allow you to get to that tight corner. This bit costs from $35 and up.

Why go through all that trouble?

There is a grommet on the pass side floor board that runs right over the exhaust. It's very easy to run your WB through that grommet. And zip tie the wires to the existing factory 02 wires going through the same grommet? Took me like 10 minutes? I then went ahead and wrapped the exhaust and shielded the wiring from heat but this was probably over kill. :uh:
Either way alot easier than fishing wires or drilling holes in the firewall.

agreed.. I'm gonna wait till it gets warmer before I go and install it. I still need to take it to a shop to weld the bung. Thanks for the input guys. did you happen to get that picture you were talking about?
