Default Greddy/Trust GREX shifter on my sc

I searched for a while trying to find pics of people with one on their car and what type/ pitch thread to get and I found maybe a few after a ton of searching

so heres some pics of i guess my "first mod" to my 5spd sc300.
and for reference for others.

I have the w58 so i got Type - T which is for most Toyota
Thread Pitch M12 x 1.25.
If you have any 5 spd Toyota transmission, you can use this.

Oh and I got the red cap because my car is red obviously.

Just a bit lower than stock shifter

I think it looks maybe a bit too sporty for a lex, but I like the feel of it so i'm undecided still

i think black would look flat out sick with the black trim or some very slight red trim needs to be added because the red pops a little to much for my taste.

too shiny, black would be cool, u should also change the hand brake leather. p.s. the shorter shifter makes it easy to watch an in dash screen if u add one, trust me, that dildomatic stick is always in the way.

i think the greddy one is alittle too flashy for the interior you have right now. but i do like it. the trd one is also nice!

the trd one looks like crap. i can get one for 20 bucks new i wouldnt do it. i had this one and it looks nice for the first 2 month. then the chrome starts to wear off and looks like crap. it super hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. i had a wrist band around it when it was cold so i dont freeze my hands off. i had a real one not a knock off so dont think the chrome wore off because it was a fake.

my favorite **** is the WRX shift **** that says STI on top. if you have the stock **** in good shape its the best. it blend in with the interior the best.

EDITED: its my 200th post

Thanks for the input guys
I had this same type **** on my 240sx for a year and it held up just fine.
It does get cold when its freezing outside. Never had it get too hot be4.
I just like the weight of the metal compared to the leather, It Feels Solid!!

As for the TRD ****, i dont think it looks much better than the stock ****. Im not saying it doesn't look better at all, im just saying i wouldnt dish out for it unless my stock one was falling apart (which it isn't).

are you guys suggesting i should paint the greddy **** black?
might be interesting..

I am planning on getting the short shifter soon.
I might go back to the stock **** till the weather is better
I might have to try the wrist band idea 5spd_jzz30

I dont think they are suggesting painting it black, rather they would like to see a black leather **** with red stitching. Sutble, yet the red will still pop. But if you like that ****, stick with it. Who cares what people online think anyways

+999 on this. You will learn your lesson and either A.) keep a sock to put over it during hot days, or B.) learn that anything but metal is a better shifter!
