180,000 k's, what can go wrong
hi guys i am from australia, 94 sc 300 are rare here and so not much information on the aussie forums
my car has reached the 180k mark. what can i be expecting to start dying on me. i regular service my car, timeing belt was changed. o2 sensors? ignition leads, distributor...? do i need to worry about them. |

First off.... Don't be surprised if it continues to run wonderfully. These cars run FOREVER.
second.Do you have an sc300 or a soarer? I know that the water pump goes bad. By regular service do you mean distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires? (if not then it's time) also PCV valve and possibly power steering pump. |
well dont you guys run? km?
|
i ran my old car till 345,000 miles thats over 500,000 km. Never did anytihng major except my crank pulley went bad and replaced it.
Thats about it. |
its a 2jz GE
well at 130,000 km i did the trannny service, timing belt, fuel filter and platnum plugs. i change oil and filter every 5 - 10k am just worried about the electrical systems (leads distrubutor) and o2 sensors, whether i need to check them only mechanical problem im noticing is my tranny is not changing smoothly. when am doing a 100km/h and turn o/d on off the revs jump. someone told me solenoids...is this true? |
