i know that this transmission came in a lot or older model supras 82-85 would the bellhousing match up with the 1992 sc300
if not what model toyota/ lexus models did this transmission come in that hase the right bell housing for the 2jz.

also i am assuming that the w58 is the manual that came in the sc300

the w58 that is the NA mk4 supra and the sc300 is the only car that has the right bellhousing to fit the 2jz. the w58 came in the mk3 NA supras and the
7mge bolt pattern to the bellhousing is dfferent. the w58 in the mk3 NA supras is a little bit weaker then in the sc300 and mk4 NA supra.

With the older w58's, it is not only an issue of the bellhousing but also the shifter position. As the original poster has mentioned, stick to the MKIV and SC300 w58, and you will be just fine.
