How did HP get boosted on 96 SC4's?

How did HP get boosted on 96 SC4's?
Im curious as to how or what mechanica attribute led to the V8 engine for 96 to gain the extra 10hp gain to 260 as opposed to 250 for 92 to 95?

engine compression was increased from 10.1 to 10.4. little nuances like this do make a difference.
