Default 1jz swap into sc400

I've searched but havent come out with any concrete answers so here are my questions......I've read you need a supra tt radiator with over flow tank...why? i read that you shouldnt cut the knock sensor wire....so how do you extend it? i'm in the process of ordering a 1jz with auto harness and auto ecu...but i have the w58 5spd so i dont know if i'll have problems with that.

Anything you can help me out with is greatly appreciated.

I have a 1j clip that about to go into my sc4 in a week!! Im pretty sure everything just bolts in. i know you have to reuse power steering lines and relocate like the power steering resevoir or something like that. Other then that its just all wiring!!! thats the crap part, and also you can use the sc4 driveshaft. you need the sc3 5 spd one if your gunna use the 5 spd.

You may be in for a surprise.....It's not quite that simple.

I'm pretty sure you need at least the front half of a sc300's drive shaft or a supra/soarer drive shaft, not the 400's. I went through something similar.

You'll also need a throttle cable from a 92-96 (est) Toyota Camry.

Check my thread on this. I went through some of these issues.

Good luck uenolove. Please keep us updated on your trails and tribulations once you begin the swap!!!!
