Default fuel filter

I just got done changing my fuel filter (SC300). I dont know what you sissies are complaining about, when it comes to changing it. I mean,....I might even do it again, just for fun, tomorrow.

I read somewhere that once you crack the lines loos, ...to let the fuel drain off. It was supposed to be two liters, or so? NO.

After three gallons, I said screw it, ...and changed it with the gasoline pouring. Probably took 10-15 minutes. Im glad the fittings werent seized on. I did use penetrating spray before-hand.

BTW, I got my filter from Advance for $16 (puralator). Car runs tip top, now.

Oh, ...and I only got minimum chemical burns on my hand and forearm. And, a little gasoline in my eyes. I dont recommend to use, in place of Visine.

Piece of cake!

I think I'd get like a vacuum line cap or *something* to put over the end of the disconnected fuel line rather than just bathe in it. :P

If I would have capped it off, it would have done no good. I didnt remove the filter and just lay under it. I had the new filter ready to go.

Sounds like the puralator filter did better than my Lexus , took me 30 min. BY the way you cant cap the line while your changing it, I suppose the gas continues to run out because the tank is mounted so high. I tried to take the gas cap off and it didnt make any differance.
