Default Automatic Transmissions

Alright fellas been trying to search info of 2jzgte's with auto trannies cause apparently its going to be a difficult task for me to get a motorset from Jhot from a soarer (1jzgte) my question is how much power can the 2jzgte auto tranny can hold without any upgrades to it, what can i do to the tranny for quicker response and for it to hold lot more power ? once all said and done i want at least 600whp out of my set up wether auto tranny or manual... if its not too much of a hassle to have an auto with that much whp then great... I know of a supra from houston with auto tranny making over 650whp with the tranny unlocked... i dont know what that means but i guess it could be done with the same auto tranny from the 2jzgte right?

you need a auto clutch kit, tranny cooler and torque converter if you plan on going above 400hp.

That WAY too much power for the stock auto.

A Boost Logic built auto is a possibility. I would keep an eye on SC400TT's build. If his BL auto is able to handle ~600wtq from a TT 1UZ, then I would feel pretty safe with one. I have read that Club Lexus members have struggled with their reliability in some cases.

Honestly, the easiest way to ensure that you can hold the power is to go with a stick. The R154 five speed can handle 600whp.
