New mbc... how much boost can i ran?
Got a sc300 with 1jz swap w/ 5speed.
Got intake/exhaust, and an MBC. Right now it's runnign 10psi... How much can i turn it up safely on stock fuel/engine/turbos.....? Just wanna get some extra power, SAFELY. |
I think you should go back to your ek9. Try searching. Thats all you honda guys ask, 'how much safe boost' 'how much boost can i run'????????
Do some research and learn about turbo cars and turbo chargers and the basics to ignition and timing. Oh and to answer your question, leave your car stock if you are worried about SAFETY, thats the SAFIEST way you can be. No, no, wait...Why dont you just sell your SC, get rid of it, go buy a Buick... I heard they're real SAFE to drive. |

I heard they're real SAFE to drive. I'll try and answer this question. First of all, use the search!!!!! There are tons of resourses on this whether it be clubna-t, or just google. I wouldn't push those ceramic turbos past 14psi. That is about the safe maximum. |
Sorry, Im

Aussie guys say anything really over 14-16 will cause those stock turbos to go boom.
Best bet...leave stock or turn up a little. Even better...have the turbos re-built without ceramics...leave those for pottery :) |
