Been a bit slack getting back here to do some updates, but as some of you will know it is on and running and as a result of an engine fire-my fault- have had some minor issues getting it to run properly.

Bit the bullet on Friday and decided to put it on the dyno to see what and if some issues could be sorted. The biggest problem was not enough fuel from about 4000 revs the afr dropped below 10, so no power runs were done. Adjusting the rising rate fuel reg only helped it run a bit better, so I have order a Walbro pump and will install it later, then back to the dyno.

couple of pics.

2.3 liter

Had to remove a small part of the hood brace, gives me about 5mm of clearance from the pulley to the hood.

10:1 that's on the rich side isn't it? On a boosted car we are looking for 12:1, if anything you are running way too rich...

The TPS doesnt seem to have made any difference Brett, I'll give you a call when I get the new fuel pump and back on the dyno. I'll know then for sure if there is any improvement.

It leaned out from lack of fuel and the AFR dropped below 10.

More efficient pump, more fuel then it should be at 12's where it needs to be.

Thats the theory anyway

I'm not exactly sure if you are talking about the air to fuel ratio, but it seems that way. Lean ratios mean more air than fuel. So, it would be like 14:1 with 14 parts of air for every 1 part of fuel. With a 10:1 ratio it would be a rich mixture with only 10 parts of air for every 1 part of fuel. So if you are talking about having a 10:1 air to fuel ratio then you are running rich. Which is better starting out with then lean. Then again, I might be confused on what you are saying and could be totally wrong. In that case. Nice setup!

Exactly, that's right lemmiewink, so if you are getting 10:1 AFR's then it's too rich, I know the 1uz's tune runs rich anyway, that's why there are many boosted 1uz's running 7 psi without any fuel mods at all.
