Default What's next on my 2jz-gte SC?

Hi, I'm not sure how to search for this so if someone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. I have a 92 SC300 with a 2jz-gte engine and a 5 spd tranny. It has an air intake and intercooler. What's the next thing I need to do to my car performance wise or to maintain my car? Do I need to get like a turbo timer and some gauges or something? Also with this engine would I need to upgrade my RPM gauge? You know like how they did it in that show in Initial D when they swap the engine in Takumi's car and he wasn't getting the full potential of the engine cause he needed a new gauge or something. You initial D fans know what I'm talking about? As you can see I don't know much about cars, the technical stuff that is. I just like driving. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not sure. Would getting a turbo timer or boost gauge be the next step. I mean don't I need those kind of things to maintain my car so I don't wear out the engine as much. If so then I will search on it. Basically if you had a car like mine what is the next step you would do to it? I have done some searching but I just can't find the answer I'm looking for.

cheapest most effective thing would do is buy a boost controler. then research to find out your turbos maximum boost. then up your psi. it'll spool faster and pull alot harder just dont go over the turbos effeciancy. and make sure you have the feul to match it... a wideband will help out alot with that, to make sure you arnt running too lean or too rich... i'm assuming you have an upgraded fuel pump? if not you better not drive that thing untill you get one

You need a huge wing to DRIFT...yo...or try driving up and down some mountains with tofu in your car...

LOL..

Try googling something like... "Supra Performance Upgrades" or "Supra BPU"

the BPU is the most common path that people follow for Supras (or Lexus cars with 2jzgte's)

For maintenence, change you fliuds (oil, tranny oil, rear end, coolant.)

Make sure your running a clean air filter.

A wideband 02 sensor is a good idea if you plan on performance upgrades, ...as well as a boost gauge.

Find out about your car, ...and what it has done to it already. Find out if the fuel pump has been upgraded.

There is LOTS of aftermarket stuff available for your car, and engine. Use the search funnction here. I can be your best friend. Good luck.

I'm guessing its the fuel pump cause its near the gas tank. Looks stock to me so I should get a new one?

I'll figure it out... no worries.
