Default Where is your idle?

I got a full service for my car (sc300), all fluids, plugs, wires etc. The car runs great but I think my idle is low. My mechanic says that hey checked everything and says its normal. My idle is on the first marker below 1000rpm or just a little under. He says he hooked it up to a diagnostic and the idle after driving and letting the car run fore 30min is at 650-700. So my question is where is your udle after a fully warmed up car?

P.S. Ive also clean the fuel injection, throttle body and IAC. The car runs great but I dont know if i should be worried. Thanks in advance.

Should be at 750rpm, give or take 50rpm. Sounds like you are fine.

Ok thats cool. So im cool. What else can cause a lower idle besides the IAC? I wish these motors had manual idle control

I had this same problem after changing my plugs. Afterwards my idle was at about 500-600 and at times even stalled. All I did was tighten th Idle control valve a bit since the two screws it is mounted on had a bit of room for adjustment. After doing so, I believe allowed the throttle plate to twist open just that little bit more to allow more air into my engine and thus regulate my idle back at 800rpms.

Do any of you think think that the TPS could creat a problem? I know that you can adjust it.

Clean the throttle body, butterfly plate and its seat on the throttle body first.

The right idle is 600-750. Just adjust it to that. It's screw on the TB.

Thats about where healthy motors should be idling. You have nothing to worry about. Just keep taking care of her like you are now and she'll be taking care of you forever.

My car idles around 700 RPM, I forget it's running if I sit at a light long enough.
