Default sc400 plug wires ?

I used the search button, and couldnt get any threads on the best plug wires with both low resistance and cost, also I beleive the best plug is denso iridiums or is it ngk iridiums? I am hoping to get rid of a low speed and low rpm miss, but when pushed a little, runs perfect.

I have the NGK blue plug wires, & NGK iridium plugs. Do I think the stock sc400 needs the iridiums? probably not, but they've treated me well in all my other cars, and I couldn't pass up something that could possibly give me better gas millage for such little money.

How do they provide better gas mileage? I've always just bought the NGK's for Japanese engines and threw them out for a new set every 12 months...... am I lost?

Ive always heard Toyota stock wires are very good, however I know some aftermarket manufactures have lower reristance wires for improved spark. I do not want to go to large and have a fittment problem.

exactly, the aftermarket boots tend to be a little too large. plus they are usually much more expensive and really provide no benefits over the stock wires.

OEM wires and Denso Platinum plugs work great for stock applications.

One of the "claims" to the benfits of the iridium plug is the smaller electrode some how creates better MPG. Its only claimed at like 2 or 3 % though. I just don't like doing spark plugs every 12,000 mi or what ever. In the DSM's your changing copper spark plugs at 6,000 mi or less.

I just LOVE the ingenious design Lexus engineers came up with, having to remove the throttle body to change plugs...

You dont have to. just remove the intake and leave the throttle body

No throttle body removal when replacing plugs on the 400. Revove plugs covers, and the intake. That's it.
