Default ? on map ecu for na-t .

I'm selling my civic turbo kit to trade in a kit for this car. The thing I don't much understand is the map ecu for toyotas. My civic currently runs on a ecu with a basemap and all that which is burned onto the chip. Are we talkin about the same kind of thing? No one i know does this kind of work. Where would be the best place to start lookin for info? thnx

Also check on supraforums.com in the Powerhouse Racing section for a ton of info.

The map-ecu is just a piggy back computer much the same as the emanage or safc. No burning into an eeprom or anything; just connect a laptop and tune the map.

Civics use map sensors and not maf's like the sc300 so the map ecu converts the car from maf to map. Pretty much making it easier to tune. The map ecu is pretty easy to install but will need to get tuned
