Default Hot vs cold dyno runs

I recently had a dyno test of my stock SC400. I hasten to add that this dyno was handicapped by not having some equip on hand to accurately measure my HP and the run was only an excersize. Still, the numbers are supposed to be "close" in value to the actual. They are supposed to be good for a comparison of hp output from my engine "cold" vs my engine "warmed up". The results of this test(if it is) is that I show way different power outputs between the two conditions. The rub is that I see a 21 hp gain of cold OVER hot. Wouldn't you think it would be the other way around?

I have always KNOWN that my SC was faster cold if I was under half pedal. No question! Faster cold! Way faster! The rub is that I couldn't get a feel for the performance variance under full throttle. The dyno numbers confirmed my gut feel. I welcome comments on this.

Thank you all

John
