1. Welcome

2. The search function has the answers to your questions.

3. you overpaid

AutoCoutureSC 06-05-07 10:36 AM

you should put in a 2jz motor swap yo!

al4nek 06-05-07 06:06 PM

$11k ? wow, i bought mine for $2200, some things were missing though :)

ccotenj 06-05-07 06:23 PM

wow is right... i just paid 6800 for a clean, needs nothing 95 (5-speed) with 67k...

as a fellow new member, i'll tell you what they'll tell you...

1) search
2) read
3) search some more
4) before even considering "mods", make sure ALL your maintenance is up to date..
5) oh yea... search...

oh, and another "oh yea"... if you want serious answers to your questions, you probably should know for sure what size your wheels are, not just guess... from reading many posts, there's some knowledgeable people here who are willing to share that knowledge, especially if you post in english and post specific questions that you have already searched on... a little groveling doesn't seem to hurt either... :)

no offense intended, just trying to save you some new member aggravation...

If you can't find a turbo kit for the 2JZ you're not looking very hard.

thanks for the suggestions guys...and the car is SPOTLESS perfect in every way and owned by a big name BMW Dealer in Omaha NE. I don't want to do an engine swap i want to turbo it or TT if possible, keep the SAME engine but get as much power as possible from it

Blizzy 06-05-07 09:18 PM

If you do not want to swap, this will be your friend:
http://www.clubna-t.com/forums/

A single turbo is considerably more efficient on the straight six, but if you insisted upon twins, the stock MKIV TT Supra turbos may bolt right on as I believe the exhaust footprints are identical. Someone will definitely need to confirm this. I am speculating. But, those turbos are good for 350-450whp without a struggle.

durtysc300 06-05-07 09:22 PM

may be a dumb question...but whats NA-T?

Blizzy 06-05-07 09:36 PM

na = naturally aspired
na-t = naturally aspired, turbo

NA-T is a distinction to means that you kept the stock block and head that were not intended for turbo charging, and you went ahead and took the strides to turbocharge it. This distinction differentiates you from the people who chose to swap in engines that were turbocharged from the factory (typically 1JZ-GTE and 2JZ-GTE). When someone lists all their mods, listing "na-t" is a simple way to know what they started with.

Your straight six is more than capable of 450whp; the tranny is the limiting factor. JoshFSM, a Club Lexus member, was recently featured in Modified Magazine for his 700+whp na-t SC300 that is using the stock block with the massive turbo, intercooler, and fuel system.

durtysc300 06-06-07 08:32 AM

well i would prefer the NA-T how much can the stock tranny withstand? its the automatic

durtysc300 06-06-07 08:40 AM

well now that i look at it..what would be the price differences in a 1JZ and my engine? or are they the same? lol im lost im more of a muscle guy i could tell you the difference between a 402 and a 454 but not these imports!
