Default Hybrid QUestion.

I ordered a JDM 2JZGTE. my current motor has 103K on it, and was wondering if I should even swap the motors out. Should I just take the Head and whatnot off the GTE and put it on my GE and go from there? I plan on doing a big single instead of keeping the twins, so was wondering if I could do that instead? From the reading and searching, I read that the bottom end of the GE and GTE are the same? If anyone is knowledgeable in this, please let me know! Thanks !

I wouldn't recommend it. You will go through wiring hell to mate the two. And for the most part the GE and the GTE bottom ends are the same with the exception of some marginally beneficial oil squirters.

So, its best just to set everything up and just swap in the JDM block instead of mixing and matching?

95% of all the wiring is on the head. The only issue is swapping the GTE oil pump and crank angle sensor. Other than that its a very easy build.

Well I ordered the 2jzgte complete (well, minus the ECU) so I might as well rebuild it and whatnot before sticking it in
