1jz gte versus 2jz gte

Im leaning towards the 1jz auto cause Im impatient(probably spelled that wrong)I need power

Just wanted know know would It be worth waiting longer for the 2jz GTE ..Im looking for about 450 at the wheels.. what do you recommend

Well you can't get 450 at the wheels on the stock 1J twins you will have to go single or do custom twins. A bpu 2jzgte can get you 450 on stock twins. So overall it either be the bpu 2zgte or the apu 1jzgte. You might also want to make sure you have a tranny that can handle the power.

Yes the R154 can handle 450rwhp. The 1J install will be easier as far as wiring you will have to extend wires. With the 2jzgte you have to use your old 2jzge harness along with the mkiv harness and splice in the old body plugs and stuff on the 2jzgte harness. They are both reliable once taken care of properly. A lot of parts are interchangeable between the 1jzgte and 2jzgte. There's a company that does that wiring if you send them both harnesses. Contact Dr. Tweak on Supraforums or look on ebay.
