Anyone ever have their heatercore changed..?

I need to do mine soon luckily Az doesnt get that cold...
but Ive done one on my Mustang, 8 hours later...it was
done. Just for fun I looked up the time called for in the service
manuels shops use to quote prices on Labor, its calling for
19 hours..!!!! that = to about $2,000 if you where to have the dealer do it just in labor ! Anyway......wish me luck, Im sure I
can do it in a day.
Anyone have any tips?

I have the same problem (i think?!). I turned it to hot, then push auto the fan don't come on. But when i manully turn on the fan, only the cold air comes out. You should try topping of your coolant, this can be the cause of your heater.

Also maybe the heater control valve, located in the engine compartment near the fire wall, passenger side. Do a search.

Before you guys get yourselves into too much debt just go and check the fluid level in your radiator. If you don’t have enough fluid in the radiator it bypasses the heater core and just gives the water to the vital engine parts, So just take a moment and check the water level, there is a good chance that the water level is just too low and that is why your not getting hot air to the heater.
