Worse gas mileage after cahnging O2 Sensor?
I don't see how this is possible, but I was actually getting better gas mileage with my '97 SC300 5spd before I changed my O2 sensor. I was getting about 315 miles per tank om average (full to empty), but now I'm only getting about 285. I thought that it might be some bad gas on the initial fill up, but it's been like that each time since. I changed the O2 sensor because I threw a CEL and the OBDII scan pointed to the 02 sensor as being the problem. Any ideas?

Reset your ECU by unplugging the neg terminal from the battery. Then go run your car pretty hard for a few minute. Make sure it's warm. I do this to my car. First time i changed my plugs this is what happened and I ran into a post in SoarerCentral On how to fix these Gas problem. This is for the 1jz not sure if it's the same for other engines, but it's worth a shot. Worked for me.
