Exclamation R154 soarer R154 MK3???

well my JDM "1jz tt w 5 speed" is arriving in canada this monday 3/5. the guy assures me it will arrive to my house in NJ by weds or thursday from his shop called sunrise japan. well besides him telling me its from a soarer and not from a mk3 how can i tell the difference between the two R154s. i know the mk3s shifter is like 5 or 6 inches difference give or take but how can i tell from seeing the pictures or when it arrives to my house? i dont want the hassel of getting the swap and then being stock with a mk3, and have to do the extension and all that. is there a special marking is there something to look for?
Thanks for any help from all at CL.
O.

get a picture of the ecu i believe it will tell you the model on it and the shifter location is extended on a soarer.

For future reference, the Difference between the Supra R154 and the Soarer R154

The Shifter is on the tailshaft on the supra and on the Soarer its above the Driveshaft.

The engine code starts with a G and not an E. It's a white sticker on the Cam cover. My soarer set is G8 and one on my old supra was E5. So if you have a pic of the actual set see if you can see the white sticker. Or ask the guy if hey knows.

GOOD LOOKS! to all of you at CL. this info did help and showed the dealer. i will get the swap by tomorrow or thursday. and if anyone still want the JDM 1jz tt soarer motor and ECU only im selling cause i want the tranny only. price is unsure yet but comparing on EBAY somewhere around $1300 or best offer. Prefer local if possible.
Once again thanks to all with great pics and info from all at Club Lexus Community!
